Taylor Made Drivers Review

I wanted to get one of Taylor Made Drivers , but it was so confusing , they have so many options it is very difficult to figure out what you are getting.

I was looking at the R9, R7 and Burner and I barely can differentiate what were the differences between these three models , other than the movable weights and the loft changing ability of the R9. I was questioning if I leave the weights alone and keep everything neutral , what are the performance difference on them?.

What I thought most important to me, when the driver is soled flat on the ground , which ones are neutral? From what I can tell, none of them are, they are either setup to be 1-2* closed or 1* open , although the Taylor Made drivers that I have seen they all looked closed to me compared to other brands. After a lot of research I found that the Tour Preferred heads are “generally” open and the non TP heads are “generally closed” , so it seemed that none of the Taylor Made drivers is made with neutral setting . They are either open or closed.
At that point I just wondered why TaylorMade purposely chose to make their clubs either open or closed and not square.

Then we have that with Taylor Made Drivers TP means .335 tip and 2* open face angle …but , that changed since the introduction of the R9 .. now all TP means is .335 tip and upgrade shaft selection vs .350 tip for non TP heads.

Tour Burner .350 tip was TaylorMade first square face introduction , prior to that all Taylor Made drivers heads except TP were closed , /- tolerance.

What a confusion , how difficult it was becoming getting my new driver and TaylorMade ’s web site is sickening , impressive flash work but I can’t stand it , I just realized why I stopped going to TaylorMade’s web site.

Just trying to get information of the several models was taking a lot of time , how can a company make good products and put a bunch of money in a website that is so unfriendly and slow . In addition to wasting money , time and energy , it is sapping the focus away from the real benefit of the Web , they should put that money in research and development .

Excuse me for venting here .

It turns out that I found a site and I just read their short synopsis of each of the Taylor Made Drivers and picket up a R7 Limited it was what I was looking for , best driver I ever got.
It took me 10 minutes understand all the models and pick the one that had what I was looking for. Taylor Made Adidas might not know how to do Web sites but their drives are the best .

Check this out:taylor made drivers and get the info that you need to pick the right drive for you.
