Is Augusta The Most Beautiful Golf Course In The United States?

I went to the Masters for the first time last year and was in awe of the beauty of Augusta National…you see it on TV for all those years and it looks great (especially in HD) but to walk the course and see it in person, you really can’t put it into words that feeling you have as a fan of golf. I can’t wait to retyrn and I’d say to other fans of golf, try to make it there at least once in your lifetime. It’s worth the trip!

It is certainly one of the most beautiful courses in the world, not just the US. There are others that can take your breath away. Of course it is in pristine condition this weekend.

Absolutely Not! In my opinion, it is Cypress Point at the Pebble Beach Resort. The most scenic views in golf. Even more than Plantation Course at Kapalua in Hawaii.

It is a beautiful course…But try Pebble Beach or Crystal Downs. Both very beautiful.

August National is a beautiful golf course. No doubt about it. However, having experienced the courses at Bandon Dunes, they are equally as beautiful but in a different way. Also, anyone who has ever seen or played Sahalee outside of Seattle (hosted the 1998 PGA Championship and the 2002 NEC World Golf Championship the year Firestone was being renovated) has said Sahalee is even more special than Augusta National. Beautiful golf courses are like acknowledging beautiful women. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors and conditions, and their beauty should be appreciated individually. The members of Augusta National like to perpetuate the myth that Augusta is the most beautiful golf course in the country – without actually saying so – however, until you walk the fairways of Shadow Creek, or Cypress Point, or Winged Foot, or Sand Hills, or La Purisima, etc., etc., it would be pretentious to label any one golf course as the most beautiful in the United States.

    absolutely not.
The most beautiful courses in the world reside in Hawaii, Pebble Beach, Scottland, Europe, and so on. Augusta is really nice, but if fails in comparison to some of these courses.
    Pebble
    St. Andrews
    Carnewski
    Kapalua
as far as im concerned, Bandon Dunes in oregon is more beautiful than Augusta, and I have played both courses. I think you get lost in the atmosphere of the tournament. Go play the course, and you will change your mind.
